The newest addition to our family...

As many of you know we have a sweet little dog named Riley. Riley is four years old and he loves being part of our family and the center of attention. He especially loves his three big brothers (our three sons) and he loves playing "chase me" with them.

Well, earlier this year our middle son surprised everyone by getting a dog of his own. In January we all met Franky, his new french bulldog puppy. Franky is a cutie in his own french bulldog sort of way. We have nicknamed him "Frank the Tank" because he is built like a little tank and he has no regard for his body as he tramples over anything and everything that's in his path. He's about the same height as Riley, maybe a tiny bit taller, but he is double Riley's weight. Riley is 12 lbs. and Franky has reached his full size and weight of 25 lbs. now that he's almost a year old. Here are some more pictures (I think you can figure out who is Riley and who is Franky) :

Teddy Bear Preview

As promised, here is a preview of the bears that will be posted on my website later today. Please remember if there is a bear you would like to adopt, email me after the teddies have been posted on my website (this evening at 7:00 pm eastern time in the U.S.) with their description and adoption information. Emails will be honored on a first come, first served basis at that time, and if you are interested in more than one teddy include your first and second choice in your email. Hopefully, I won't have any "technical difficulties" to cause a delay in getting pictures on my website like the last time.

Well, I have to run right now to get ready to go to church where my Dad-in-law will be recognized and honored for his 90th birthday and then we'll be taking him out for a birthday dinner. Happy Birthday Dad!!

Spring is finally here!!

Well, it's been a long, long winter--in more ways than just cold, snowy weather. I'm so happy that Spring is finally here and I hope the sunshine and warmer weather makes everyone feel good!! I've been seeing lots of robins, bunny rabbits, and even the mallard duck couple is back visiting our yard, so I think spring is here to stay (although we did have a 3-inch snowfall earlier in the week, but I'm hoping that was the last of the snow until next winter).

I know I've neglected this blog over the winter, but I hope to get back to posting more often. For now though, I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy Spring!! And for those celebrating Easter or Passover--I wish you and those you love a happy and blessed time!

Next time, I'll post more about what's going on and about my teddy bears.

lots of love and hugs to everyone,
Mary

Many thanks to all of you...

A big "thank you" to everyone who visited my blog and my website to see the new bears. All have been adopted and many are on their way to their new homes.

"Thank you" to everyone who adopted one of my bears and "thank you" to those who requested a bear, but weren't able to get one. I'll be making more bears soon, and I hope you will be able to get a new furry friend next time. Please visit my blog again as I plan to post at least once (or more times) a week to let you know what's going on with me, my bears, and Riley, too.

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone for your understanding and patience last Sunday when my website update did not go as I had planned! My son is still trying to resolve the problem....but thank goodness I started this blog. It saved the day and I think I will continue to use it, along with my website, whenever I have new bears ready for adoption.

big bear hugs,
Mary

The show must go on!! (even though I'm having a nervous breakdown!)

I am so sorry that I messed up on my website. I never should have thought I could do it by myself without my son. Oh well, live and learn. But here are the bears. Just scroll down to see their pictures and a list of their sizes and adoption fees are at the bottom. I'm sorry I don't have time to add a description. Please email me at marygeorgebears@yahoo.com if you would like to adopt a bear. I will get back to you as soon as I can. I need a drink first! (even though I don't drink--my nerves are shot right now.) Please note that I have a layaway plan--just ask. Preferred method of payment is check, money order, or credit card on PayPal. Shipping fees are for the continental USA. Overseas shipping extra. Just ask me if you have any questions. And you don't know how sorry I am for this mix-up!!

The list of bear sizes and names are:
25" Clifton
23" Reggie
24" Tessa
10" Smudge
13" Dorrie
12" Oakley
11" Ashby
19" America
19" Liberty
15" Mellie

Some teddy bear preview pics...

Here are preview pics of teddy bears that will be up for adoption at my website ( www.marygeorgebears.com ) on Sunday, September 7, beginning at 4:00 p.m. EST.

This is the first time I've done any kind of preview, but some collectors liked the idea so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm only including pictures and the bear's name, but no information on sizes or adoption fees because the bears will not be available until they are posted on my website.

Teddy bear adoptions will be honored on a first come, first serve basis. It is best to email me if you would like to adopt a bear, rather than phone, because it is easier for me to keep track of emails and sort them by delivery date. I will let you know as soon as possible if the bear you would like to adopt is available. If you have a second choice in mind, you can let me know in the email with your first choice. Layaway is available in 2, 3, or 4 payment plans with the first payment due at time of adoption and then one payment every 30 days until all payments are made.

12 bears are pictured below, but there may be a few more on my website tomorrow if I can get them ready in time. I will try to get their pictures posted later today if possible.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
lots of bear hugs,
Mary

Message about preview pics

I'm working on preview pics--but I probably won't be able to start uploading until later tonight. I'm still learning to use this "blog" and yesterday's practice session with the zoo pics helped, but I'm still learning. I'm working on how I want to present the preview because what I thought I would be able to do isn't working, but I'll figure it out. It might be late (after everyone is asleep), but by morning the pics should be here. Thanks for being so patient. The first time doing something is always the hardest!
bear hugs,
Mary
